Here is more information about benefits and how to become a sperm donor at Denver Sperm Bank:
Applying to the Sperm Donor Program
The application is quick and easy and is completed online. We ask you name, contact information, and some brief questions about yourself. Your answers at this point would not disqualify you, we’re just getting to know you better.
Once you have completed your online application you can expect to receive an automatic email to schedule a semen analysis with us. You can also visit as a walk-in appointment lab during open hours. Any samples collected during the application process are for us to assess your potential as a donor and will be discarded.
The next steps in the application process include completing medical and family medical histories, lab testing for infectious diseases, and a full physical examination with our on-staff physician.
Perks For Sperm Donors
Donors in the program can see great benefits that include:
Compensation for your time and effort
Donations that are usable for treatment, meaning they have high sperm counts and negative infectious disease testing, qualify for $100 each. Donors are encouraged to visit at least once per week but are welcome to donate up to 3 times per week. The Donor Coordinator will keep you informed about your donation results and answer any questions you may have.
Routine Health Checks
Donors will receive physical exams every 6 months and routine STI testing while actively donating. This is a great way to keep tabs on your own health. Additionally, when entering the program donors receive genetic carrier screening for 514 genetic conditions. These are genetic conditions that could potentially be inherited by any genetic offspring and is great information for you to have about your own health.
Flexible Donation Schedule
Donors are welcome to provide donations up to 3 times per week and are encouraged to visit at least once per week. However, you make your own schedule and can decide the best time of day to visit. We also see donors leave on vacation and take a few weeks off from donation.
Supporting Intended Parents
Donations go to provide treatment options for people going through fertility procedures to become parents. This could be someone struggling with male factor infertility, lesbian couples, or an individual seeking to become a single parent by choice. In any case, they cannot do this without you.
You can get started today by completing an online application. Do not hesitate to reach out to our Donor Coordinator if you have any questions at [email protected] or call 303-970-5897.
